ETF basics with structural context
An exchange-traded fund pools investor money into a portfolio whose shares trade on an exchange. The broad term ETF is often used alongside other exchange-traded products, but legal structure can differ. Read the prospectus, benchmark and issuer disclosures before assuming the same rules apply to every ticker.
